About
Mohamed Mohsen received his Ph.D. in marine ecology from the institute of oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in June 2020, with the best Ph.D. student award and best Ph.D. graduate student award, where he is now working as a postdoctoral researcher.

His research in the past years involved microplastic pollution in marine ecosystems. I characterized plastics, microplastics, heavy metals, and biofilm associated with plastics from marine ecosystems. In addition to isolating and characterizing microplastics, he has experience in designing and operating novel experiments on evaluating the toxicological effects of microplastics using environmentally relevant concentrations. As a young scientist, he has 14 peer-reviewed research articles in SCI journals in pollution and toxicology areas. He also published a book in Academic Press, Elsevier, "Sea cucumbers: Biology, Ecology, and Aquaculture."
